My original business partner and I opened the Guatemala City OLC in 2004 and had great success offering classes in more than 10 languages. I led the expansion effort and opened our second branch in Coban in 2006, and our third OLC in Antigua, Guatemala. By 2010 we had become the leaders in language acquisition, exam preparation and education consulting in Guatemala. The reputation and success of OLC has provided me the opportunity to found the NGO, Las Manos de Christine, and build the Antigua Green School.

In 2007 I bought out my original business partner, simultaneously securing investors and new partners in order to expand the business and services. We have seen growth every year, and in 2020 were ready to quickly move all of our services to an online platform. Oxford Language Center is now a market leader in: Language Services, Business English, Consulting for International Schools, Cambridge International Assessments, Exam Prep, and University Admissions.

One thing I find both personally and professionally rewarding and essential to the success of a company is a strong focus and dedication to mentoring and coaching. I have had the opportunity to work with many impressive individuals, and have spent time and effort to help them develop as administrators and leaders. In 2009 I was able to leave Oxford in the capable hands of a new Director who had come up through the ranks at OLC, so that I could focus on building the Antigua Green School.

We have worked hard to develop our brand to be consistent across our many services. We have several target markets, from English language student, corporations and nonprofit organizations, to students looking to go abroad for University.
I have managed designers, consultants and marketing companies to build a brand that is recognized as an industry leader in several markets. .

Founded and built the educational institution from initial investment to the market leader in English language learning, educational consulting, exam preparation and university admission services.
Manage all budgets and financial reporting, including; income, profit and loss, cash flow analysis as well as all billing and payroll. Recruit and manage the sales team, sales targets, tracking progress through a CRM platform, and issuing commissions.
Fostered and maintained strategic relationships with local board members, business owners, community leaders, and other leading schools and organizations.
Developed strategies and managed the transition of all classes and educational services to an online format and platform, and now manage online service strategies and development.
Managed the successful accreditation process to become an official Cambridge Assessment Centre.
Recruited, hired, trained and mentored staff members to create a company environment dedicated to the highest level of service, professionalism and industry practices and standards.
Managed marketing and public relations, building a team to create, build and manage our brand.
Oxford Language Center was born from the idea that we could build a world class learning center in the heart of the Guatemalan capital. We began with English Language courses, and grew to offer Legal Translation & Corporate English training, University Admissions & Exam Preparation, and Business & International School Consulting. I was able to successfully oversee the expansion of OLC into two other Guatemalan cities, making us a leader in education nation wide. I have recently led the team tasked with the transition of our services, courses and curriculum to an online format for our learning platform. We have been successful in our efforts and the business has seen growth in 2020, and once again we are expanding to new markets.
